My journey into digital marketing began in 2015 when I launched my own travel-based website. Back then, I just wanted to blog about travel, but I lacked direction in creating content that resonated with my audience. I simply wrote what I wanted, all while balancing a full-time teaching role in an elementary school in Bellevue. I knew nothing about SEO or how to use SEO to grow my travel blog.

In 2017, I left teaching. I published a travel book and earned a certification in digital marketing. I began by volunteering my marketing skills for local nonprofit clients in Seattle, gradually stepping into online freelancing in the broader digital marketing field.

When I welcomed my daughter in 2018, I took a break to focus on family. During this time, I kept up my marketing skills by volunteering as the social media manager at Magnolia Cooperative Preschool in Seattle. The following year, I joined the board as the Director of Marketing, where I managed a team in a project manager role.

After exploring various marketing roles, I found my true passion in search engine optimization. That’s when I decided to become an SEO specialist.
